After much deliberation though, we decided to not go to production with this one.

Field tests of our first prototype demonstrated several important disadvantages in it. The most critical one was lack of self-setting fixed positions of the rod. This resulted in the user having to re-calibrate the sight upon each re-deployment. As much as we liked the cyber punk concept, it would have inherited the same functionality problems. It was also rather challenging in terms of production requirements. Nevertheless, this beautiful concept was a source of inspiration for the much more practical limited edition Hereticle that’s currently in production.
